Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), India’s largest City Gas Distribution (CGD) company, has been awarded the prestigious ‘City Gas Distribution Company of the Year’ at the FIPI Awards 2025, presented during the India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 in Goa.

The award was received by Kamal Kishore Chatiwal, Managing Director, Mohit Bhatia, Director (Commercial) and senior officials of IGL from Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India and Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in the presence of Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman, ONGC and Arvinder Singh Sahney, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

The recognition underscores IGL’s excellence and leadership in the City Gas Distribution sector, particularly for its robust expansion of the pipeline network, significant growth in CNG stations, and strong overall sales performance, reinforcing its position as a frontrunner in India’s clean energy transition.

Over the years, IGL has consistently demonstrated operational excellence by expanding its gas infrastructure across its geographical areas, improving accessibility to clean and affordable energy, and supporting the nation’s goals of energy security, sustainability, and reduced carbon emissions.

The FIPI Awards are among the most respected recognitions in India’s energy sector, celebrating outstanding contributions and achievements by organisations and leaders driving innovation, growth, and sustainability.
